Goodie Baskets

When overnight guests arrive, treat them with "goodie baskets" in several rooms. First, make sure the guest room is full of snacks, drinks, magazines, brochures about your town and even fresh flowers. Prepare special baskets for children with small toys, crayons, candy, etc.

Next, keep your bathrooms welcoming by adding a basket of all of the necessities - soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and other toiletries. This basket should also include special items--a special body wash that may be nicer than you would buy for yourself but lets your guests know that they are special to you, a scrubbing brush, scented lotions, etc.

Use imagination to fill other "goodie baskets" in spots around the house. What a great way to let your guests know that you spent time to make sure their stay would be comfortable.
