Ruth Leeper's 7-Hour Stew
Makes: a lot!- 3 lb. stew meat
- 3 large carrots, diced
- 2 (14 oz) cans diced tomatoes
- 1 pkg. frozen peas
- 1 can green beans
- quartered potatoes, as desired
- 1 can beef consomme
- 1/2 c. water
- 4 T. tapoica (mix with consomme)
- 1 T. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1 bay leaf
- 1-1/2 T. salt
- pepper to taste
