Maple Syrup

  • 1 c. dark corn syrup, or 1 c. brown sugar (or a blend of the two)
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 t. maple extract

Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Heat over medium-low, stirring constantly. Allow to boil for 1 minute. Let cool. Add 1 t. maple extract.

Note:You can also add butter flavoring or vanilla flavoring --1/4 t. in addition to the maple syrup for a subtle flavor.
