Pecan Pie Bars

Makes: 36 bars

  • 2 c. flour, unsifted
  • 1 c. cold butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (16 oz) package almond brickle chips
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350ºF (325ºF for glass dish). In medium bowl, combine flour and sugar, cut in butter until crumbly. Press firmly on bottom of 9x13-in. baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk, egg, and vanilla. Stir in chips and pecans. Spread evenly over crust. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Cut into bars. Store covered in refrigerator.
