Million Dollar Fudge

  • 2-1/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 16 large marshmallows
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 2 c. chocolate chips

Cook all ingredients except chocolate chips and vanilla; stirring constantly on medium heat. Bring to a boil and stir 5 more minutes. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla, and nuts if desired. Pour into 9 x 13-in. pan and quickly spread.

"We would always make at least two batches. One with nuts and one without."
