- 1 stick of real butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 t. real vanilla
- 1 t. almond flavoring
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 4 c. flour, more if necessary

Cream sugar and butter. Mix in egg yolks, vanilla and almond extract. Add sour cream and buttermilk until mixed. In another bowl mix flour, soda and baking powder. Fold in Flour. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Knead mixture and shape into a long frech bread shape, cover with a pastry cloth to keep moist. Cut off small sections and roll like a pretzel. Form into the shape of a fish, figure eight or a pretzel. Bake at 350ºF for 8-10 minutes. Let cool. Cover tightly. Tastes even better the 2nd day.
