Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bars

Makes: 10-15 servings

  • 1 (16 oz) can chocolate syrup
  • 3/4 c. peanut butter
  • 19 ice cream sandwiches
  • 1 (12 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 c. salted peanuts

Pour the chocolate syrup into a medium-size microwave safe bowl and microwave 2 minutes on high (or heat in a sauce pan on stove till hot). Do not allow to boil. Stir peanut butter into hot chocolate syrup with a whisk until smooth. Cool to room temperature.

Line the bottom of a 9x13-in. dish with 9-1/2 ice cream sandwiches. Spread half whipped topping over sandwiches. Spoon half the chocolate mixture over that. Top with half the peanuts. Repeat layers. Freeze until firm; about an hour. Cut into squares and serve.
