Savory Crescent Chicken Casserole

Makes: 8 servings

  • 1 (6 oz) package of cream cheese
  • 12 T. of melted butter, divided
  • 4 T. of chopped onion
  • 4 c. cooked chicken, cubed
  • 1/2 T. salt
  • 1/4 T. pepper
  • 4 T. milk
  • 2 (8 oz) tubes of crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Blend cream cheese and 4 T. of melted butter until smooth. Add onion, chicken, salt, pepper and milk. Separate crescent rolls into rectangles (you should have 8) and pat seams. Spoon 1/2 cup of mixture onto each rectangle and then fold each rectangle, sealing the edges completely. Place sealed side down on baking sheet. Brush with remaining melted butter. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
