Mom's Apple Fritters
Makes: n/aSift together into a bowl:
- 1-1/3 c. flour
- 2 T. sugar
- 1-1/2 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 t. cinnamon
Toss lightly:
- 4 apples, well-chopped
- 1/4 c. flour
- 3 T. powdered sugar
Add to dry ingredients and mix well:
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 T. oil
Gently fold in apple mixture and fry in deep fat (by large tablespoons). Turn once. When golden, drain on paper towels and roll in cinnamon and sugar. Serve immediately.
