Pretty Pink Lemonade

Makes: 8 servings

  • 2-1/2 c. water
  • 1-1/4 c. pink decorating sugar
  • 1/2 t. lemon peel, finely shredded
  • 1-1/4 c. freshly-squeezed lemon juice

Place water and sugar in a saucepan and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and cool for 20 minutes. Add peel and juice to sugar mixture. Pour into a jar, cover, and refrigerate for up to 3 days. To serve, pour lemonade base into a pitcher and mix with 1 quart of cold water. Add ice and enjoy.
