Mulled Cranberry Cider

- 1 sm. orange
- 8 c. cranberry-raspberry drink
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 6-in. stick cinnamon
- 1 t. whole cloves
- 1 star anise, optional
- orange peel strips, optional
Using a vegetable peeler, remove orange peel; squeeze juice from the orange, discarding seeds and pulp. In a large saucepan, combine orange juice, cranberry-raspberry drink, and brown sugar. In a 8-in. sq. cotton cheesecloth combine orange peel strips, cinnamon, whole cloves, and star anise.
Bring up corners of cheesecloth and tie with cottom string. Add to saucepan. Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10 min. Remove and discard spices. Serve warm.
