Aunt Jane's Hero
by Mrs. Elizabeth PrentissEdited by Amber Moeller
A Brief Description: This Elizabeth Prentiss work never ceases to amaze and inspire me. I first read it the summer of 1999 and have since read it no less than seven times. The characters in this story demonstrate to us how to deny self; how to be Christ-like; to never be ashamed of our faith; to find a love for one another above love of fame, glamor and money; to establish a godly home; to be happy and trust in the Lord no matter what our circumstances may be; and many other profound examples. Whenever the compromises in the world discourage me, I am comforted to reread this story and know that the Lord works all things together for good to those who love and obey Him.
In other recent reprints of this book, there is one thing missing. They leave out the preface. This is a great loss, for in the preface is the foundation and completion of the entire story. We pray that you will find the preface and story to be a great encouragement and blessing.
