Week One

Time

~ Sue Humphrey

A long awaited time arrives,
And then it passes on.
The hour of dread;
The moment of delight.
The hard, bright rays
That herald each new day,
The soft, dark shadows
Of the summer night.
Nothing is sure--but time
And its sure passing--
Thus count we off the days of life,
Some dull, some flashing.

Week Two

"A hug is the perfect gift. One size fits all, and nobody minds if you exchange it."
~ Bill Quiram

Week Three

"Nothing is work unless you'd rather be doing something else."
~ Sally Naber

Week Four

Best Gift

~ Elaine V. Emans

Our mother thought she hadn't much To give: a jar of marmalade, A box of cookies, a wooly dog Or bit of lace she had crocheted. But oh, she gave her friendly smile, Her hand to strangers come, and she, Who thought she hadn't much for giving, Gave us generosity.
