2 cups friendship
1-1/2 cups forgiveness
2 Tbs. tenderness
5 tsp. hope
4 quarts faith

Mix the love and loyalty together thoroughly with the friendship. Blend well with forgiveness, tenderness and hope. Add faith, stir in laughter alternately with the work. Bake in lots of sunshine. (Yield: many generous helpings of happy years.)

Week Two

"All human beings have failings. All human beings have need and temptations and stresses. Men and women who live together through long years get to know one another's failings; but they also come to know what is worthy of respect and admiration in those they live with and in themselves. If at the end one can say, 'This man used to the limit the powers that God granted him; he was worthy of love and respect and of the sacrifices of many people, made in order that he might achieve what he deemed to be his task,' then that life has been lived well and there are no regrets."
~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Week Three

"Don't let yesterday use up too much of today."
~ Will Rogers

Week Four

"We write our own biography with our words and our actions."
~ Melvin Alkire

Week Five

"Nothing will ruin this democracy if the people themselves will protect its safety. Nothing can save it if they leave that safety in any hands but its own."
~ Benjamin Franklin
