Week One

"A happy home is not one without problems, but one that handles them with understanding and love."
~ Author Unknown

Week Two

"The more of the needs of others a man takes on his own heart, the more he must take his heart to God."
~ Author Unknown

Week Three

"Appreciate the present. Then you can learn to plan ahead. By helping others--it keeps you from becoming self-centered, and can even take off the pressure that comes from thinking too much about the future."
~ Author Unknown

Week Four

A Bag of Fools

~ Mrs. Walter Hartmann

Isn't it strange
That princes and kings
And clowns that caper In sawdust rings,
And common people
Like you and me
Are builders for eternity?

Each is given a bag of tools
A shapeless mass
A book of rules;
And each much make--
Ere life is flown--
A stumbling block
Or a stepping stone.

Week Five

The Path

~ Anna Engelhardt

All night the snow came falling down
And lay in drifts across the town,
Covering each walk and road
Until nowhere a pathway showed.

Yet, when I ventured out next day
I easily could find my way--
For through the snow a path was laid
Which others earlier had made.

Life like the snow, had paths defined
By great men who have left behind
Some thought or truth that those to be
Might walk life's way more easily.

And just as when I walked the snow,
So as along life's path I go,
I, too, am grateful but much more,
For great men who have gone before.
