Week One

"Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves."
~ J.M. Barrie

Week Two

Love is All That Really Matters in the End

~ Unknown Author

Life is too short for grieveance--
For quarrels and for tears.
What's the use of wasting
Precious days and precious tears?

It there's something to forgive--
Forgive without delay--
Maybe you too, were part to blame.
So make it up today.

Be generous - forget the past
And take the broader view.
Cast away all bitterness and
Let the sunshine through.

If it's within your power
A broken heart to mend.
Remember--Love is all that
Really matters--in the end.

Week Three

"A hundred-point man is one who is true to every trust, who keeps his word, who is loyal, who does not listen for insults nor look for slights, who has tongue that doesn't spread malice, who is considerate of those from whom he cannot profit, who is moderate in all things, who is willing to learn, who is cautious and yet courageous."

Week Four

Friendship Garden

~ Jean Hersbergen

I walked along a garden path,
And viewed the flowers fair,
That once were only little seeds,
Some mortal planted there.

The fragrance sweet, that filled the air,
Bright color in array,
Brought back such happy memories,
As twi-light took the day.

I journeyed through the many years,
Recalling those I'd known.
Each different, as the lovely flowers,
In friendship's garden grown.

But flowers too, though Heaven sent,
Cannot forever stay.
When living their alloted time,
They die and fade away.

Yes; every now and then God picks,
A bloom of beauty, rare,
To give those left more room to grow
More fragrance sweet to share.

Grieve not for blooms that He has picked,
For in a special place,
Along with those He took before,
They smile into His face.
